ABOUT OUR NATIONAL ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN
We are excited to launch the national engagement campaign for Truth to Power, a new documentary by the Peabody Award winning Director/Producer Abby Ginzberg. Abby and her film company Social Action Media has been producing documentaries about race and social justice for more than 30 years including Truth to Power: Barbara Lee Speaks for Me, Waging Change, And Then They Came for Us, Agents of Change, and Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa, to name a few.
If you are an organization, teacher, activist, or someone who is already a supporter of Rep. Barbara Lee, please consider partnering with our Campaign to begin to build our audience for this film! Visit the National Engagement website here to download our Look Book, Tool Kit, Resources, and learn how you can eventually become a partner, host screenings, and get involved by posting and sharing links to our film trailer, and production updates, newsletters and more, with your social network. There is no better time than now to speak Truth to Power.
We need partners for our social media outreach and national and community engagement efforts. We have so many courageous voices already behind us, including Van Jones, Alice Walker, Danny Glover and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ayanna Pressley.
Letter from the Director
We are excited to talk to you about our feature length documentary, Truth to Power: Barbara Lee Speaks for Me. We have prepared the following pages to introduce you to the film and its amazing star, Congresswoman Barbara Lee. By supporting this project you would be joining the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation, the Kazan McClain Foundation, the Nancy and Richard Robbins Family Foundation and many individual supporters who have helped to launch and sustain this project. The film is sponsored by Kovno Communications, Inc, a 501(c)(3) organization. It is rare for a filmmaking team to be given access to a sitting Representative. We are grateful to have been given the opportunity to create a unique and powerful film about one of the most courageous, hard-working and well-respected members of Congress.
Sincerely,
Abby Ginzberg, Producer/Director
